Congratulations to River Cottage and Wahaca restaurants! Both have won awards from the Sustainable Restaurant Association!

Huge congratulations go to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage canteens and the RC events centre, and to Thomasina Miers’ Wahaca restaurants!
The SRA awarded River Cottage the Award for Sourcing and Wahaca the Sustainable Restaurant Group of the Year.
The awards, in this their first year, aim to celebrate the best in sustainable, environmental practices. Miers said “We are absolutely delighted to have received this award from the SRA, not only in recognition of all the hard work we have put into sustainability across the board, but also where there are so many other great restaurants working hard in this area too. I think these awards are going to be a great annual event for shouting about what restaurants are doing, and can achieve, with all things green.”
On winning the award, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall said "Sourcing the very best, local, seasonal, high welfare food for River Cottage restaurants is our top priority – and of course one of the great pleasures of our business. To be recognised as the best at this in the UK is a great honour, a tremendous endorsement of all we're striving to do and a fantastic boost to the whole River Cottage Team."
