Congratulations to Lucy Christopher whose debut novel, STOLEN, has won this year's Branford Boase Award and been shortlisted for the Australian 2010 Prime Minister's Literary Awards!

The Branford Boase Award is given each year to the most outstanding work of fiction for children by a first time novelist. Lucy was awarded the prize for her novel at a ceremony at Walker Books in London and was presented with a cheque for £1,000 and a unique, hand-crafted, silver-inlaid box by former Children's Laureate, Jacqueline Wilson.

The Prime Minister's Literary Awards celebrate the contribution of Australian literature to the nation's cultural and intellectual life. STOLEN has been shortlisted in the Young Adult Fiction category and was selected from over 320 entries.
