Congratulatons to Marcus Du Sautoy who has been awarded an OBE for services to Science

Marcus Du Sautoy has been named on the 2010 New Years Honours List and awarded an OBE for services to Science.

Marcus du Sautoy is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford where he holds the prestigious Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science and is a Fellow of New College. He is Senior Media Fellow at the EPSRC, and has been named by the Independent on Sunday as one of the UK's leading scientists. In 2001 he won the prestigious Berwick Prize from the London Mathematical Society, and in 2004 Esquire Magazine chose him as one of the 100 most influential people under 40 in Britian. The Guardian has described him as the 'de facto public face of maths'.
