Fraser Lewry was born in New Zealand, and has lived in London since 1985. He gave up his degree course to work in a second hand record shop, and has been trying to escape the music industry ever since. He’s worked as a roadie, then in A&R for goth/rock merchants of misery The Cure, and then as Head of Music for London Radio station Xfm. Fraser is the Digital Editor of Word Magazine, and writes for the Observer website on the joy of eating animals (apart from cats, obviously - he could never eat a cat).
Fraser has run a hugely popular blog, blogjam.com, for the best part of six years, and manages a series of wonderful websites dedicated to the glory of cats and kittens – kittenwar.com, dailykitten.com and catsinsinks.com.
