Jonathan Ray is wine editor of the Daily Telegraph (where he has a weekly column), wine columnist of The Field magazine (monthly) and founding co-editor of the food and drink-lovers’ quarterly, SpectatorScoff!. He is also the author of several books on wine – translated into over a dozen languages and with combined sales of almost 250,000 copies – including Bloodlines & Grapevines and All About Wine. His latest – How to Buy Wine – was published by Ryland, Peters & Small in both the UK and US in April 2010.
Jonathan has a Ph.D. in history from London University and has contributed to the Spectator, the Guardian, the Mail on Sunday, GQ and Imbibe magazine, writing on wine, food, beer, travel and other subjects.
He won the British Guild of Beer Writers’ National Journalist of the Year Award in both 2005 and 2007, is married with two children and lives in Brighton.
