Sabrina Broadbent’s first novel, DESCENT, was published in 2004 and won the WHSmith Raw Talent Award. A BOY’S GUIDE TO TRACK AND FIELD was published in 2006 and her third novel, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE GOOD, came out in June 2009, all published by Chatto & Windus.
Sabrina was formerly RLF fellow at UCL and Head of English, as well as Schools Support Director at FILMCLUB (www.filmclub.org). Her journalism, which tackles issues ranging from teenage pregnancy to the way our exam system stops children learning, has appeared in the Guardian, Times, Sunday Times and Mail.
The only girl from a large family of boys, Sabrina grew up in East Anglia, studied at Goldsmiths’ College, lives in London, has two daughters and is working on her fourth novel.
